Denim & Lace

Good Morning All, I hope you are All keeping well, Ive had my first attempt at colouring black hair, I need more practice, but ive made a card up with the image, she is from the Saturated Canary and called Steampunk 1 , I coloured her with promarkers and my new  fleximarkers, the denim backing paper is from a design on disc cd, doily from Joanna Sheen, Cherry Lynn fanciful flourish die, lace, charm, ribbon and pearls from stash. Honest opinions on the hair please and any tips to improve it.

    Stunning card Kevin. Great job of the hair. I read a tip the other day is to use a blue colour for the highlights which would be fab in this card. Sorry cant remember who, if I see it again, will let you know. I dont used black much but you could try 3 shades something like black,grey and a lighter grey or leave a bit white. Hope this helps.

    Hi Kevin, so nice to see another man out there and how nice to see one with such a talent for coluring too. Your first attempt at black hair is very good indeed. I love doing black hair, you just start light and keep building up with darker shades, always going in the direction the hair grows. So far I have never done ginger hair!! afraid it will just come out orange and look stupid. Love the card and a great choice of image too, saturated canary are amongst my favourite images.
