Blogger Deleted my Blog

Hi All, on the 30th oct at about 11.45am I was busy visiting blogs leaving some comments, when all of a sudden, I couldn't leave a comment, and it said my blog had been deleted. and it had! I was in panic, how could this happen, I was just leaving comments. Blogger had deleted my blog as spam. I tried to get it sorted out, I was completely gutted, all my work gone. Finally after hours  blogger asked me for a mobile phone number, which I gave them and they sent me a code, which I had to type into a box , and then up came my details, then my dashboard and thank God my blog intact.  It seems blogger can randomly select any blog and delete it as spam.
If this does happen to you, dont panic , get on to them, it took all day but I got mine back.
I Just thought I would let you all know, Just incase the same thing happens to you.

    Thanks for the heads up Kevin...I had to do the mobile thing with them a few weeks ago...but not cause mine had been deleted...I had no blogs to follow...they had all gone, empty....
    So this is going to fix a lot of problems...what next..unwanted txts..lol..

    Oh Kevin how awful what number did you ring just in case I need it , these blogs do play up a lot It wouldnt let me leave a message on your blog for weeks

    phew I'd have had to have a lie down in a dark room to recover for a week after the panic, so glad everything is back where it belongs have a great day and hopefully no more disapearing acts

    oh Kevin the same happened to me, and it turns your whole world around doesn't it, was weary of providing my number too, but did so and then still had to go to work and wait till I got home to find it, so pleased you got sorted

    Thank goodness it was fixable and not some ugly gremlin doing it for kicks. Scary to think that blogger can do such a thing. Glad you are back in business.

    Panic over now then thank goodness... but Blogger can be a pain sometimes - Last year I lost the majority of my pics from posts - after such a long time blogging it would take forever to get them all back and they said I would have to re-upload them all individually so I just left it - which is a shame really cos I like to have all my pics there!

    Hi Kevin ...I have gone to a blog and screen said it was not available but it was back next day . I have lost followers ..my hit counter several times and also not been able to comment or sign in sometimes . All very frustrating .just have to leave it for a day or two and it seems to sort itself out but maddning

    Oh Kevin, how awful! It would be devastating to lose all your work and all the comments and love from people.....so glad you got it back! but a bit suss that you have to give them your private phone number in order to sort it, makes you wonder if this is just google trying to get every last bit of info on you!!! This happened to one of the girls on the MiC DT just last week, so it's doesn't seem like such a rare occurance, which is worrying. Must have been a stressful time for you, you deserve to treat yourself to some craft stash shopping therapy now. CoB PS would be useful if you could tell us how you contacted them so we can make a note.

    hi I have heard of this happening, and yes they can delete any blogs any time cos of Spam. But where did you go to get it fixed? a site? a number? please share that.

    Hi Kevin - this must have been such a shock! It's awful that Blogger can just delete blogs like that. I have to admit that I'm a bit mad and I always save my blog to a word file! I print it too - that way I don't lose much. Thanks for the info about it being restored - but who and where did you contact them?
